Hello Everyone! Welcome to One Sour Mama. I am Jess. I found my joy in baking early on in life. I have been baking ever since I can remember with my mother. Helping her make cookies and pies and such. After I learned to read Mama bought me a children's cookbook written in the 1930's. I would look over the recipes so excited to make them. Finally, after much begging she gave in and let me start by making my first batch of Gingersnap cookies all by myself and ever since then they have been one the of the most requested cookie I make. At about age 6 I joined a breadmaking class through a local 4-H group and so my love for bread baking began…. After that I was making cinnamon rolls, potato bread, my grandmother's dinner rolls and anything else at home I could.
